Running & Shooting Prep Sessions for Tetrathlon Rally Set for Saturday Mornings in August
The first Tet prep session today had a good turnout, and additional sessions will be held the next 2 Saturdays (August 20 and 27) with running at 7am and shooting at 8:30. Competitor Forms have been sent out by e-mail - if you didn't get them please contact Dean and Chris to get copies.

"Greetings all Tetrathlon competitors...
The rally, September 17 and 18, is just a few weeks away. We will be having shooting and running practices at our house every Saturday morning in August...times and dates are below.
Saturdays - August 13, 20 and 27. Running starts at 7 a.m. followed by bagels, fruit and juice. Shooting practice 8:30 - 10 a.m. Please RSVP.
Also, attached to this email, are running tips and schedules from Dave S. Mr. S will be the running steward and he has given you a week-by-week training schedule.
If you have NOT been running regularly before today and want to run the novice, junior or senior distances, you might want to try a combination walking/running first. Try to keep moving for 30 minutes and break it up into segments. For instance, run 4 minutes, walk 6 minutes...do this 3x. Slowly increase your run time and decrease your walk. Once you feel comfortable running for a longer period of time, go to Mr. S's schedule for training.
All practices will be at our house in East Amwell. The runs will be cross country, not on the road. We will mark off each distance, novice, junior, senior.
If you have your own gun, please bring it. If the Saturday mornings are not good for you, please let us know. We may be able to make other dates and Gus has been giving a few lessons, so there are many ways to get in shooting practice.
Swimming...we met a pony clubber at Nationals who might be willing to help out with swim training.
We will be sending out the registration package this week.
Stay in touch!
Should be a great rally.
