Half chaps at rallies: For Cs – boots and chaps need to match (look like one unit…therefore smooth leather only). For Ds – any combination of paddock boots and half chaps are acceptable, but to avoid misunderstanding with Horse Management judges, mark on your entry if you plan to wear non-matching.

Rulebook changes for 2009:
USPC issued new rally rules for Games, Dressage and Polocrosse for 2009, which were posted in January and February. www.ponyclub.org/rulebooks.htm

Medical armbands:
USPC now requires Arm Bands, which contain a current copy of the individual’s medical release form, to be worn by members at all times while on the Pony Club competition grounds.

WHY MEDICAL ARMBANDS?
For the same reason the United States Eventing Association requires arm bands at their competitions. It saves critical time when dealing with medical emergencies.

Quiz participants will carry their medical releases in their Name Tag holders or in an armband. Tet competitors will not be required to wear them while actually shooting or swimming, but must have them visible and next to them for these activities and must be wearing them at all other times.

The armbands must be worn on the upper arm. If the competitor has small arms, they may need to safety-pin the armband to their sleeve in the area of the upper arm.

After March 22 HHPC will have a supply of arm bands for sale for $5.

Suggestion: consider wearing an arm band every time you ride, especially out on the trail or away from your home or barn.
